Connecting to your Ryoko portable Wi-Fi is quick and straightforward. Each device shows all the details you need directly on its screen - no guesswork needed.
Step 1: Power On
Turn on Ryoko by pressing and holding the power button until the screen lights up. If it does not turn on, charge the device using the USB-C cable provided.
Step 2: Locate Your Wi-Fi Details
On your Ryoko screen, you’ll see:
- Name: Your Wi-Fi network name
- Pass: Your Wi-Fi password
- QR code: For instant connection on smartphones
Step 3: Connect Any Device
- Go to your device’s Wi-Fi settings and select the network name exactly as shown on the Ryoko screen.
- Enter the password (labeled “Pass”) from the screen.
- If you are using a smartphone, you can scan the QR code directly from the Ryoko screen to connect instantly without typing in the password.
Step 4: Confirm Connection
Once connected, your device should show you’re online. You can repeat these steps to connect up to 10 devices at the same time.
Troubleshooting Tips
- The connection works only when the “4G” icon is displayed in green on the device screen.
- On first use, or after crossing into a new country, it may take a few minutes for the device to connect to a local mobile network. Wait for the green “4G” signal before you try connecting.
- Double-check you’re entering the Wi-Fi name and password exactly as they appear on your Ryoko device.
- If you have trouble connecting, restart both your Ryoko and your device. Make sure it’s fully charged.
- Moving to an area with stronger signal can help.
